hey blogger's, how are you today??

my week is going pretty well as we have swimming lessons every day which is pretty fun.

For the past few weeks, we have been writing a report based on a country. I did mine on Bali- I choose Bali because that is where me and my family go on holiday every year, But not this year we couldn't because of covid.

For the writing part of it, w had to write a conclusion that would convince people to come to the country we picked.

write three paragraphs on things in your country these things could be swimming, tourist attractions, shopping and other things that are important to your country and lastly and conclusion that summarises the things you talked about in the other parts of your report.

please look at my google earth link so that you can see my work.

have you been to Bali??

-First week of school!!!

 Hey bloggers

How are you today, I hope your day has been good

in the holidays I went to the mall a lot and hung out with my friends my highlights where when I went to the beach, the movies and everything else.

the work that I did this week was a paragraph for writing,

this is mine it's about a man and his son trying to catch a whale on a small wooden boat.

I looked into the deep blue ocean, as the stormy mist flew into my eyes and it felt as if I was blind, I looked over my shoulder to notice a big bulging eye-popping thru the mist and lurking around our boat, I slowly approached it with my spear hoping to catch this beast of a thing then next thing I know I was hit but a seagull and in ice-cold water with this mysterious creature, my heart pounded faster as i pulled myself up and out of the water and back into the boat covered in mist. The weather turned for worse and we were in the dangerous ocean with waves as big as mountains.

I hope you enjoyed this post and leave a comment.

See you next week

- rocket work!!

hey bloggers!
how are you today, I hope your week has been great.

his post is about my Dissolve's scientific report. My Question is to have anything wondering about what powders will dissolve in warm water.

this is my work that i have copy and pasted into my post.

Wondering: what solutes will dissolve the fastest in warm water and why

Hypothesis: I think that the sugar will dissolve quicker because in warm or hot water it melts because all the sugar grains dissolve into the heat

Materials:
½ a tablespoon of the following substances:
Sand
Corn Flour
Salt
Sugar
Flour
Citric Acid
A tablespoon
Timer
Beakers
Warm Water

Variables:
Independent:  powdered substances

Control: the amount of water

Dependent: the substances dissolving

Procedure: Fill 6 beakers with 80ml of warm water
Get ½ a tablespoon and put them into the beakers
Time and stir throughout the procedure
Observe

Results/Observations: The citric acid dissolved first then the sugar and last but differently not least the salt. The sand and the flower turned into a sludgy and mushy like substance that looked almost like beige-colored glue.

ice experiment :)

Ice experiment

For writing, we did an experiment with ice. We had prior knowledge that when u put salt on ice it melts it faster so we wanted to find out if there are any other substances that could do it faster?

The work that you can see below is my report on what happened in the experiment.

Wondering: I know that salt eats away at the ice, but I wonder if there are any other powdery products that will eat away at the ice quicker. my co

Hypothesis:(these vary depending on each child and their hypothesis)

Materials:1/4 Cup each of the following:

Salt

Citric Acid

Baking Soda

Sand

Sugar

5 containers of the same size with ½ cup of frozen water in them

Stopwatch

Level table

Camera

Variables:

Dependent-

Independent-

control-

Procedure:

1. Measure a ¼ a cup of all the powdered substance

Put the powdered substances on all of the ice at the same time

Then start the timer and video and wait for the ice to melt

Observe what happens and then you're done

Results/Observations:

1 hour 14 minutes and 36 seconds - salt

(: See u next time :)

1000 piece puzzle 🧩

Hi guys ,
How is isolation going For you and your family bubbles?
It’s pretty weird for me and my family, as we are big fans of getting out of the house and socialising with our friends And family.
We are also big fans of travelling and doing things most days.
This week my mum and dad set a challenge for me and my brother to complete.
The challenge was if we Could finish this 1000 piece puzzle in a week, we would get a reward, so my brother and I were pretty excited to accept the challenge. Trust me it wasn’t easy.
The first two days we managed to get the border and some of the big house done which didn’t seem to be too hard, so we were pretty confident that we could get it done a week.
On day 3 and 4, we started realising that it was going to get hard, so our mum helped us do some of it as she doesn’t have to go to work. We ended up finding pieces for the other house and started to build those.
On day 5 we got a lot done. We found all of the top and we still had 2 days to find all of the bottom.
On day six we found everything else except one piece. We thought it was missing,  but my dad just took it and hid it from us as a joke. It was pretty funny.
Now my dad is going to reward us with a surprise and we still don’t know what it is!!
What have you been up to in this unusual time at home? Please tell me in the comments .
Fell free to leave any feedback in the comment area, and remember stay safe, wash your hands and remain safe in your bubble

Anne of green gables

Hi, guys, I hope you're having a great day so far, are you liking the lockdown system ? Its day 1 and I'm already sick of my house, but at least it will help the virus stop spreading and hopefully get rid of it. Don't get me wrong, I am lucky to have such a good family.
Today I made a book cover for the book called Anne of Green Gables. It's a really good book and there is also a Netflix series called Anne with an E which is really good too.
the front is a picture that looked a bit like Anne from the tv series and it has the title and the author written on the front too. On the back, it has the blurb from the actual book that I have at home.
I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post and stay safe.

My family tree

Kia Ora, Bloggers this is my family tree!

The whole of Toroa had to do this. I saw that some of the kid's family trees were big and some of them were small. As you can see my family tree is quite small. the blue represents a boy and the pink represents a girl. At the bottom is me and my brother then my mum and dad then their siblings and then their parents.

Is your family tree big like mine?

I'll see you in my next blog!
